As Christian we should strive for a life that glorifies Jesus in all areas and protect our Christian walk. In order to protect the Christian walk we must seek righteousness and holiness. The Merrian-Webster dictionary defines righteous as acting in accordance with divine or moral law: free from guilt or sin. Another definition is morally right or justifiable. The Bible has approximately 493 references to righteous in some form; thus, suggesting the importance of understanding the concept of righteousness to our Christian walk.
Do you live a life that illuminates your relationship with Christ?
If you went through your day and did not say one word would your actions demonstrate Christ in you?
On your job, at your local market, at your local park, would people that see you and interact with you know you are Christian?
If you answered no or you are not sure to the above questions do you know why?
Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for our sins. It is the greatest gift that we can ever receive. Yes the GREATEST. The Bible says in Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”. Since it the greatest gift that we can ever receive we should protect it and make sure it is not in a place to be damaged or become ineffective. Our Christian walk (that is our testimony) is not just something we pull out and put on when we go to church. It is a lifestyle that is twenty four hours a day and seven days a week.
This area of the ministry will focus on equipping, empowering and encouraging others in their spiritual walk in Christ. With that being said we must member what Christ said about those who desire to follow him in the book of Luke. Luke 9:23 “Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me”.
Jesus goes on in verses 24 – 26 “ whoever loses their life for me will save it. whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”
If we truly love and live for Christ we cannot be ashamed or fearful of who we have become and who indwells in us. We have to honor and protect our Christian walk our Christian Brand.
